DAY 17 - NIGHT OF REMEMBRANCE

Image
Bible Reading:  Acts 9:36-42 Bible Text:  Rev. 20:12 '...were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books' MIDNIGHT MEDITATION: Life is transient; what we do in life is like a visa that qualifies us for eternity either in heaven or hell. Your works on earth is what will speak for you in eternity after your brief sojourn on earth because no matter how long you live, we must one day return to God our maker and give account of the lives we lived here on earth. Dorcas was a disciple of Jesus converted after the ascension of Jesus into heaven. She was a committed Christian and was ever willing to do things to the glory of God. Dorcas understood her calling and knew that she was to take care of the aged, widows and those that were destitute; in our today's parlance we would say she ran an NGO or a charitable organization. She pursued her purpose with great zeal and passion; she never gave excuses when it came to fulfilling

DAY 16 - NIGHT OF COURAGE

Image
Bible Reading: 1 Samuel 17:1 – 30  Bible Text: Isaiah 41:10 “Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.'” (NKJV)   MIDNIGHT MEDITATION: Courage is not the absence of fear, but the mastery of it. It is superceeding fear by making your prayers with very strong faith. Anybody without courage is a knife without an edge. One man with courage makes an effective majority. However, it is interesting to note that there can be no courage in men unless God supports them by His word. Courage consists not in hazarding without fear, but being resolutely minded in a just cause. Only he who can say “The Lord is the strength of my life” can boldly say “of whom shall I be afraid?” The Bible supplies us with a rich store of images for courage. This is no surprise since the Bible is about small people accomplishing great deeds with God's help. Anytime God requ

DAY 15 - NIGHT OF DEALING WITH FOUNDATIONS

Image
Bible Reading: Zechariah 4:1–10; Psalm 11:1-3 Bible Text: "If the foundations are destroyed, What can the righteous do?" (Psalm 11:3) MIDNIGHT MEDITATION: According to Merriam Webster Dictionary , the word 'foundation' means something (such as an idea, a principle, or facts) that provides support for something. It is a basis (as a tenet, principle or axiom) upon which something stands or is supported. i.e. an underlying base or support. Holman Christian Standard Bible dictionary defines foundation as the sturdy first layer on which a structure is built. Figuratively, the principles or initial work upon which what follows is based. Putting all these into constructive consideration; without any iota of doubt, foundations are very important in the spiritual realm; it has generational consequences. Although our past is gone and seemingly forgotten by several people, it is worthy to note that the past is not a “dead dog” but a “sleeping Lion” that ca

DAY 14 - NIGHT OF DRINKING FROM THE REAL FOUNTAIN

Image
Bible reading: John 4:7-26 Bible text: Psalm 37:4 “Delight yourself in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.” MIDNIGHT MEDITATION: The people of Samaria were seen as sinners because they intermarried with foreigners thus they were strictly avoided by the Jews. The Samaritan woman was an outcast and a public mockery to her people, most people must have avoided her like the plague because of her actions and her lifestyle. In ancient times, women usually went to fetch water in the morning and at the evening when the sun was cool; but the Samaritan woman, maybe in order to avoid the leering eyes of the other Samaritan women, left fetching of her water till the afternoon when she was sure no one would be present at the well. She was shocked when she went to the well to fetch water and saw Jesus who spoke with her; she must have thought Jesus would judge her, hence her aggressive reply in 9 & 12 “then the woman of Samaria said to Him, "How is it

DAY 13 - NIGHT OF POSSESSING OUR POSSESSION

Image
Bible reading: Numbers 27:1-11 Bible text: Numbers 27:6 “And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying “the daughters of Zelophehad speak what is right; you shall surely give them a possession of inheritance" MIDNIGHT MEDITATION: The Israelites had an unspoken rule that implied that women were not eligible to inherit properties. They were usually sidelined and the inheritance shared according to the number and names of the male relatives. Zelophehad, before his death, was a man that fathered five daughters; he was a bonafide son of Israel and had always obeyed the instructions of the Lord; he was not easily attracted by the sin the Israelites often committed and was not inclined to follow the opinion of others but did what was right and at the end the testimony of his life stood for him. What will be your life’s testimony? Are you easily moved to do that which others think is right or pleasing to God or do you seek the approval of God before indulging in any activity or pro

DAY 12 - NIGHT OF SETTING YOUR PRIORITIES RIGHT

Image
Bible reading: Luke 10:38-42 Bible text: John 15:6 “If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.” MIDNIGHT MEDITATION: It is so easy to get engrossed in serving than to take time off to actually receive nourishment. Martha was a typical everyday woman that we meet in our time, she was homely, smart, caring, very hardworking, cared about the interest of others before her own, if she was married the husband would have been over showered with love and affection. How many women still take special care of their families like Martha dutifully did? How many still make exceptions and do positive things that will bring genuine smile on the faces of her immediate family members? Despite being all of the above and having all the sterling qualities, Martha lacked self love. She lacked and did not realize the importance of having a personal relationship with God. Many today

DAY 11 - NIGHT OF CARRYING GOOD NEWS

Image
Bible reading: Luke 8: 1-3, John 20:1-18, Bible text: 2 Kings 7:9 “Then they said to one another, "We are not doing right. This day is a day of good news, and we remain silent. If we wait until morning light, some punishment will come upon us. Now therefore, come, let us go and tell the king's household."” MIDNIGHT MEDITATION: Mary Magdalene was known by her affliction, a demoniac. Imagine being afflicted with demons and everyone being aware of it; it would be a trademark. Mary Magdalene was a young lady in the Jewish province that was possessed by seven different demons. As is very apparent with demons, demons do not possess a body and remain dormant, they are very aggressive and controlling and end up making the life of the host body very miserable as they control all aspects of that person; the person is made totally subject to their every will. This was the situation Mary Magdalene found herself. She must have seen herself doing things she wouldn’t want

DAY 10 - NIGHT OF ACCESSING DIVINE STRATEGY

Image
Bible reading: Esther 5:1-8 Bible text: Esther 4:13 "…do not think in your heart that you will escape in the kings palace anymore than all the other Jew, for if you remain completely silent at this time, relieve and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place…yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?" MIDNIGHT MEDITATION: Have you ever been overcome with the spirit of fear, when the only solution to your problem seemed more dangerous than the problem itself? Esther had just been made queen to the envy of most of the young unmarried ladies in town but she was being married to the most unreasonable man, a man who made decisions based on his emotions. He was guided largely by the thoughts of those around him without carrying out his own observations on how true or right such decisions would affect his people, His people did not matter to him, it was only his selfish interest that carried the vote of the day. Esther the newly

JUST TO ENLIGHTEN YOU ABOUT MIDNIGHT PRAYERS...

Image
Just to enlighten you about midnight prayers. Most of us don't understand why it's important to pray in the midnight hour. May these points open your eyes and change your life. Truth about MIDNIGHT prayers: MIDNIGHT is a time of transition, from one day to another. God can bring a transition in your life as you pray at MIDNIGHT. MIDNIGHT is a time of great spiritual activity, both good and evil. Destinies of man are shaped and interrupted at MIDNIGHT. If you are not shaping your destiny at MIDNIGHT, then somebody may interrupt your life at MIDNIGHT. At a natural level great victories have been won when nations were caught by surprise as their armies were asleep at MIDNIGHT. Satan launches attacks at MIDNIGHT: he feeds people in their dreams at MIDNIGHT; he rapes others as they are asleep at MIDNIGHT, etc. Great calamities are spiritually effected at MIDNIGHT. God had to wait until midnight to execute judgment on Egypt: (Exodus 11:4-6) Then Moses said, “Thus say

DAY 9 - NIGHT OF TAKING A STAND

Image
Bible reading : Ruth: 1:1-22, 4:13-22 Bible text: Ruth 1: 16-17 “But Ruth said, ‘Entreat me not to leave you, or to turn back from following after you; for wherever you go, I will go; and wherever you lodge, I will lodge; your people shall be my people, and your God, my God…The Lord do so to me and more also, if anything but death parts you and me.’” MIDNIGHT MEDITATION: In Ruth’s story we see played out the lives of two women who suffered the same mishap and the decision they took at the end. Ruth and Oprah were two Moabite women married into the family of Elimelech, a man from Judah. They were married to his two sons, Mahlon and Chilion, in the land of Moab where Elimelech and his family had come to seek refuge from the terrible famine that had attacked the Israelites. It wasn’t long when Elimelech and his two sons died, leaving Naomi and her two daughter-in-laws widows. Distraught and depressed, Naomi had lost all that she had brought to the land of Moab and there wa
