DAY 13 - NIGHT OF POSSESSING OUR POSSESSION

Numbers 27:6 “And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying “the daughters of Zelophehad speak what is right; you shall surely give them a possession of inheritance"

MIDNIGHT MEDITATION:
The Israelites had an unspoken rule that implied that women were not eligible to inherit properties. They were usually sidelined and the inheritance shared according to the number and names of the male relatives. Zelophehad, before his death, was a man that fathered five daughters; he was a bonafide son of Israel and had always obeyed the instructions of the Lord; he was not easily attracted by the sin the Israelites often committed and was not inclined to follow the opinion of others but did what was right and at the end the testimony of his life stood for him. What will be your life’s testimony? Are you easily moved to do that which others think is right or pleasing to God or do you seek the approval of God before indulging in any activity or project?

Zelophehad’s refusal to follow through the footsteps of the other Israelites who rebeled against God ensured that the petitions of his children were justly heard by God. How will your lifestyle affect the lives of your children when you are long dead or when you are not close to them? Your lifestyle, the way you treat others and the things that you say to others when you think you are alone will be the same way your children and offspring will be treated. God as our father has shown to us the way to live and has given us the manual, the Bible, to live our lives on earth but many of us today do not use that manual, where is your manual?

Zelophehad’s daughters could stand and defend the rights of their father because they knew him; they were close to him. They had observed him closely and knew what principles he stood for and what he detested; hence their boldness to lay their petitions before Moses and the Lord. How is your relationship with your children and loved ones? Can your spouse, children, relatives, parents and friends unflinchingly defend your principles before a higher authority; can they get deliverance by presenting your sterling qualities before God and receive God’s blessings? How sincere are you in your dealings with your family, do your family see your attributes and lifestyle the same way God sees you?

The daughters of Zelophehad saw that their rights were about to be forsaken and that they would have no lineage if they did not speak out. According to the rule in Israel, since there was no male child in their family they would be no portion of inheritance for them in their father’s name. When they approached Moses and the leaders of the congregation, they were not insolent and disrespectful but presented their case with humility and courage and tact.

The issue of women inheritance in a male dominated area would be a very delicate matter and would require adequate preparation and humility to win the hearts of those to whom the request is being brought before. Some women do not know how to present their request on a delicate matter. Many of us launch into a matter and spew out words as they come forth. If the daughters of Zelophehad were haughty and proud, their request would not have been heard. Because of the actions of the five daughters of Zelophehad, women today are being given the right to inherit; they have a voice when it comes to speaking as regards to family rights. Tonight, let every female in our families raise up their voices to God for settlement.

It may be that God has called you to be a voice that will make a change in the lives of generations that are yet to be born, it may be that within your heart and lips lie the key that will bring emancipation to many who are in bondage but your attitude and manner of approach is all wrong; your lifestyle speaks a different language which instead of bringing about the right trend of events rather births catastrophe.

Because the daughters of Zelophehad presented their plight rightly, Moses could present it before the Lord for His final approval and verdict. Has your rights been forcefully taken away from you? Do you believe you are entitled to something but culture, the laid down norms and laws do not permit you to enjoy such benefits? There is One who has the final verdict, the King of kings who can upturn any culture or norm that does not favour His children. Moses as a leader had a contrary view on the issue of the inheritance of Zelophehad’s daughters but God had the final say; in the same vein, God alone has the final say in all that pertains to you. Surrender to Him but let your own hands and lifestyle be clean and free of sin. It’s your night to possess your possession.

PRAY UNTIL GOD ALMIGHTY ANSWERS (PUGAA)
IT’S MIDNIGHT PRAYER:

1. Father Lord, grant me the grace to live a transparent life before you and before men.
2. May my life here on earth open doors of favor and breakthrough to my children and generations yet to be born.
3. Mighty redeemer, reshape me through the refiners fire and burn off every haughty and ungodly spirit/character within me; grant me the grace to live only for you.
4. My God, deposit in me what it takes to fulfill the destiny you have called me out for; may my past not stand as a barrier for you to use me mightily
5. Lord purge me and remold me in the traits of godliness to the glory and praise of your name alone
6. I repent of every evil lifestyle I have shown in the past, every act of deceit that has brought shame upon me and my family in Jesus name.
7. Abba Father, grant me the spirit of humility to walk uprightly and justly before you; may heaven fight for me and my family in Jesus name.
8. Lord help me to find my identity in you and in your word alone.
9. Just as You gave the daughters of Zelophehad the grace to change the norm in their society, my Father, I receive the grace to change that which needs to be changed, give me the voice and the grace to cause radical changes for the furtherance of your work here on earth.
10. Lord, give your final verdict in everything that has troubled me that cannot be accessed by me; do it Lord and take all the glory in Jesus name.
11. Whatever has been forcefully taken away from me, I retrieve it tonight, I reclaim all that rightfully belongs to me and my household in Jesus name.
12. Father, capture the hearts of those who seek to do me evil and deny me my rights; let them rather restore all that pertains to me. O God, grant me such miracles that will usher in thanksgiving and sacrifice of praise to the glory of God in Jesus name.

FAMILY MIDNIGHT PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS:
N/B: Beloved be on your knees lay your right hand on your head and by faith prophetically claim all the midnight declarations. See yourself as someone kneeling before a great messenger of God and after claiming all declarations, go back and sleep

1. You are next in line to testify at all times of God’s grace. This season, you shall work without sweating and you shall achieve more; you shall not wear out the grace of God upon your life and you shall succeed in every undertaking that usually wear other people out in Jesus name.
2. From this moment onwards, the anointing of ease shall accompany you; your productivity in this season shall be 100% because of God’s grace resting upon you. Grace for a better tomorrow is locating you in Jesus name.
3. By the release of sufficient grace upon your life, receive strength to do the things you were unable to do in Jesus name.
4. Whatever has suffered death in your life due to the attack of the enemy shall receive newness of life; whatever stopped others shall not stop you. You are already victorious in life by divine grace in Jesus name.
5. In this season, God’s extraordinary grace shall speak in your situation; natural laws shall pause for your advancement, protocols shall be ignored, formalities shall be waved and policies changed to highly favour you in Jesus name.
6. By your contact with grace, any law of the land that has been speaking against you and your life’s endeavour is subdued in the name of Jesus.

ACTION TIME FOR CHRIST’S FAMILY
Look out for any expecting couple and pray for them silently, wishing them safe delivery. Also inform and invite at least seven persons to join you for the last week midnight prayer program.
