DAY 21 - NIGHT OF TOTAL RESTORATION OF THE AXEHEAD

Image
Bible Reading: 2 Kings 6:1-7 Bible Text: 2 Kings 6:6 "So the man of God said, "Where did it fall?" And he showed him the place. So he cut off a stick, and threw it in there; and he made the iron float. MIDNIGHT MEDITATION: The word “Restoration” denotes giving or receiving something back that was taken or lost. The bible contains records of stories of restoration. It is worthy to note the immense range of phenomena that are restored. Prayerfully note them: i. A wife can be restored to her husband (Genesis 20:7,14) ii. A son to a father (Genesis 37:22) iii. A person to an office can be restored (Genesis 40:13, Daniel 4:34-37) iv. People's afflicted bodies are restored to wholeness or health (Exodus 4:7; 1 Kings 20:34) v. Life is restored to the dead (2 Kings 8:5) vi. Garments are restored (Exodus 22:26) vii. Stolen goods are restored (Lev. 6:4-5) viii. Fortunes are restored (Deut. 30:3; Psalm 14:7) ix. Cities are restored (1 Samuel 7:14;

DAY 20 - NIGHT OF GRACE

Image
Bible Reading: Exodus 33:12-23; Esther 2:10-17 Bible Text: Exodus 33:13 "Now therefore, I pray, if I have found grace in Your sight, show me now Your way, that I may know You and that I may find grace in Your sight. And consider that this nation is Your people." MIDNIGHT MEDITATION: Dearly Beloved adventurer, welcome to our night of grace. Grace is the most characteristics of all Christian words. It would have been worth our while to trace its move from classical to Christian usage, but time and space would not permit us; however, you are humbly requested to grab a copy of our book: The “Conspiracy of Grace” to find out more. Very briefly, grace can be defined as an undeserved acceptance and love received from another. Usually, an undeserved favour granted by a superior to an inferior. When used of divine grace towards mankind, it refers to the undeserved favour of God in providing salvation for those who deserve condemnation. In the Christian sense, it

DAY 19 - NIGHT OF MAXIMIZING TIMES AND SEASON

Image
Bible reading: Ecclesiastes 3:1-15 Bible Text: Ecclesiastes 3:11 “He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts...” MIDNIGHT MEDITATION: Time and season encompasses much more than the succession of events in this world. The plan and purpose of God are tied to times and seasons. Ecclesiastes 3:1 says “To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven.” In His wisdom and sovereignty, God sets an appropriate time for everything. At the right time, Christ was born (Gal. 4:4) at the right time He lifts us up (1 Peter 5:6) Don't run ahead of God's timing. Timing is very important. All the experiences listed in these verses are appropriate at certain times. The secret to peace with God is to discover, accept and appreciate God's perfect timing. The danger is to doubt or resent God's timing. This can lead to despair, rebellion or moving ahead without His advice and grace. There is a time whe

DAY 18 - NIGHT OF COMPASSION

Image
Bible Reading: Matthew 15:21-28 Bible Text: Romans 9:15 '…I will have mercy on whomever I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whomever I will have compassion.' MIDNIGHT MEDITATION: The Canaanite woman had a demon-possessed daughter whom she dearly loved; maybe the child was the only child she had. As a mother, she must have tried everything to ensure that her child regained her health back but all proved to be to no avail. The woman heard of Jesus and travelled down from Canaan to see Jesus in the region of Tyre and Sidon where He was preaching. Desperate and in agony she ran to Jesus and we see the following come into play: She pleaded for Mercy.   This woman had come with all assurance that Jesus, a merciful king would listen to her plight and heal her daughter but she received the shock of her life: Jesus did not answer her, not even a word! What a great embarrassment it must have been to run to someone you required help and have him not utter

DAY 17 - NIGHT OF REMEMBRANCE

Image
Bible Reading:  Acts 9:36-42 Bible Text:  Rev. 20:12 '...were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books' MIDNIGHT MEDITATION: Life is transient; what we do in life is like a visa that qualifies us for eternity either in heaven or hell. Your works on earth is what will speak for you in eternity after your brief sojourn on earth because no matter how long you live, we must one day return to God our maker and give account of the lives we lived here on earth. Dorcas was a disciple of Jesus converted after the ascension of Jesus into heaven. She was a committed Christian and was ever willing to do things to the glory of God. Dorcas understood her calling and knew that she was to take care of the aged, widows and those that were destitute; in our today's parlance we would say she ran an NGO or a charitable organization. She pursued her purpose with great zeal and passion; she never gave excuses when it came to fulfilling

DAY 16 - NIGHT OF COURAGE

Image
Bible Reading: 1 Samuel 17:1 – 30  Bible Text: Isaiah 41:10 “Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.'” (NKJV)   MIDNIGHT MEDITATION: Courage is not the absence of fear, but the mastery of it. It is superceeding fear by making your prayers with very strong faith. Anybody without courage is a knife without an edge. One man with courage makes an effective majority. However, it is interesting to note that there can be no courage in men unless God supports them by His word. Courage consists not in hazarding without fear, but being resolutely minded in a just cause. Only he who can say “The Lord is the strength of my life” can boldly say “of whom shall I be afraid?” The Bible supplies us with a rich store of images for courage. This is no surprise since the Bible is about small people accomplishing great deeds with God's help. Anytime God requ

DAY 15 - NIGHT OF DEALING WITH FOUNDATIONS

Image
Bible Reading: Zechariah 4:1–10; Psalm 11:1-3 Bible Text: "If the foundations are destroyed, What can the righteous do?" (Psalm 11:3) MIDNIGHT MEDITATION: According to Merriam Webster Dictionary , the word 'foundation' means something (such as an idea, a principle, or facts) that provides support for something. It is a basis (as a tenet, principle or axiom) upon which something stands or is supported. i.e. an underlying base or support. Holman Christian Standard Bible dictionary defines foundation as the sturdy first layer on which a structure is built. Figuratively, the principles or initial work upon which what follows is based. Putting all these into constructive consideration; without any iota of doubt, foundations are very important in the spiritual realm; it has generational consequences. Although our past is gone and seemingly forgotten by several people, it is worthy to note that the past is not a “dead dog” but a “sleeping Lion” that ca
