DAY 21 - NIGHT OF TOTAL RESTORATION OF THE AXEHEAD

Bible Text:
2 Kings 6:6 "So the man of God said, "Where did it fall?" And he showed him the place. So he cut off a stick, and threw it in there; and he made the iron float.

MIDNIGHT MEDITATION:
The word “Restoration” denotes giving or receiving something back that was taken or lost. The bible contains records of stories of restoration. It is worthy to note the immense range of phenomena that are restored. Prayerfully note them:

i. A wife can be restored to her husband (Genesis 20:7,14)
ii. A son to a father (Genesis 37:22)
iii. A person to an office can be restored (Genesis 40:13, Daniel 4:34-37)
iv. People's afflicted bodies are restored to wholeness or health (Exodus 4:7; 1 Kings 20:34)
v. Life is restored to the dead (2 Kings 8:5)
vi. Garments are restored (Exodus 22:26)
vii. Stolen goods are restored (Lev. 6:4-5)
viii. Fortunes are restored (Deut. 30:3; Psalm 14:7)
ix. Cities are restored (1 Samuel 7:14; Neh 3:8)
x. The temple is restored (2 chronicles 24:14)
xi. Cloak taken in pledge must be restored to the owner before nightfall (Deut. 24:13)
xii. Stolen property must be restored (2 Samuel 12:6)
xiii. Money taken by fraud is restored (Luke 19:8)
xiv. A person guilty of sin is restored by the Church (Galatians 6:1)
xv. A person's soul can be restored (Psalm 23:3)
xvi. A person can be forgiven and restored to the joy of salvation (Psalm 51:12; Psalm 80:13)

Conclusively, the scripture says in 1 Peter 5:10 “But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.” (NKJV) Whatever you have lost as an individual or family shall be restored. It is your night of restoration, but most significantly is the restoration of the axe-head. The instrument representing your major source of livelihood.

From our main text in 2 Kings 6:1-7, we should have a proper understanding of God's omnipresence. Omniscience and His Omnipotence which assures us that no situation or circumstance exceeds His reach, no department escapes His attention, and no experience can contest His control. God is with us wherever we go as He promised Jacob, and most importantly, when we invite Him, He shows up prominently as He promised in Genesis 28:15 “Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you”

The Almighty God is able to remove every obstacle and solve every embarrassing problem, and He is your present help in times of need. Tonight as you come to the end of this adventure, God will restore to you your axe head, and your family and you shall claim the full benefits of your sacrifices and it will fully show up in your life from this day forward in Jesus name.

When the sons of the prophets observed that the place where they were meeting was too small, they took a unified and purpose driven decision to go to Jordan to get beams to expand their meeting place. They knew their lack and acknowledged their limitations, but they trusted in the All-Sufficient God by taking a risk to go and borrow an axe head for the sake of advancing the Kingdom. The mere fact that they went to borrow an axe head confirms that they were poor and could not own axes. But one thing worthy of emulation is that their present condition did not stop them from forging ahead.

The second thing they did was that they requested the prophet to go with them. I don't know if they envisaged danger but they made provision for any eventuality. The prophet's company helped to forestall the shame, the disgrace and the plight.

Permit me once again to properly impress upon your mind the fact that in a time where most tools were still made of bronze, an iron axehead was extremely valuable, besides we are not told the condition or terms of the borrowing, little wonder when it fell off their hands, they could not pretend but confess and exclaim, "Alas! My Master, for it was borrowed" (2 Kings 6:5) Alas! Is used to expressed sadness, sorrow, disappointment, unhappiness, pity or concern. I see God handling the “alas!” of your family in Jesus name. All what they needed to restore the axe head was to confess and humbly follow the prophetic instructions for the recovery of the axe-head.

Remember at the time an Iron axe-head was a costly tool, too expensive for the members of the prophetic company to purchase. Having lost it, the borrower faced the challenge of having to work off the value as a bondservant. The method that Elisha used to recover the lost Axe-head was very surprising, that is the power and grace of prophetic accomplishment. No struggle! He simply threw a stick to the same water; all he needed was to be shown the place where the axe-head fell in. Instead of hiring expert swimmers, he did not need strength; for as the scripture says, “for by strength shall no man prevail”, but Elisha used prophetic grace.

Immediately, the Iron axe head saw the stick, it recognized that it was from the Prophet; the water released it, the mud gave up the axe head, for it could not contend with the stick from a man of God. In science, Iron cannot float, but in signs and wonders, anything is possible. Especially after such an encounter of fervent family midnight prayers.

In this concluding part of this testimony, the scripture says in 2 Kings 6:7, “Therefore he said, "Pick it up for yourself." So he reached out his hand and took it” (NKJV).

Your axe-head is the most important part of the axe; without it, trees cannot be pulled down. If you borrow it, its worse; if you had it before and it fell into the water, your life has come to a standstill. But tonight, as you come to the concluding part of this 21 days family midnight adventure, your axe head is commanded to float again, and as you reach out your hand to pick it up, your life and that of your family shall never be the same again.

The incident of the floating axe-head is recorded to show God's care and provision for those who trust Him, even in the seeming insignificant events of everyday life. God is always present. Enjoy God and have your full restoration as you pray.

PRAY UNTIL GOD ALMIGHTY ANSWERS (PUGAA)
IT'S MIDNIGHT PRAYERS:

1. Almighty Father, command a replacement and restoration of all my blessing lost in great tumults. Restore all that is due to me in Jesus name.
2. Arise and defend your task and work in my life. Guide me on how to make progress in my calling for you in Jesus name.
3. Arrest and conquer all abusers against my progress and expansion in life in Jesus name.
4. O God, You often call those who are unqualified for their God-given task and qualify them: just as Abraham and Sarah were both old and Sarah apparently infertile, yet You chose them to produce a multitude of offspring, like the “stars of the heaven” (Genesis 22:17); today, raise up my family in Jesus name.
5. Jehovah, who often fulfil promises, kindly fulfil all positive promises concerning me and my family. You O God, who causes a spiritual legacy and blessing to pass from one generation to the next, grant us wonderful transfer in Jesus name. Amen
6. Whatever I had borrowed will not lead me to sorrow. O God, grant me the grace to be a lender and not to remain a borrower after this midnight encounter in Jesus name.
7. Every Jordan, or its representative swallowing my axe head or that of my family, vomit it now in Jesus name.
8. Spirit of discernment and divine guidance, help me to locate when and where my axe head of exploit have fallen and guide me to recover it in Jesus name.
9. I frustrate and disassociate from every evil prophet assigned against me and my family. From now O God, send to me and my family genuine messengers of God in Jesus name.
10. Father, I ................................. commit my days and my family unto you that our days shall not be days of sickness, sadness or frustrations. Touch my prayer life that it be not weak but to be strong in faith and fervent in the spirit in Jesus name.
11. Dear Lord God Almighty, save me and my family that we may begin to sing new song in life, make us to see you always in the land of the living in Jesus most precious name.
12. Almighty God, arise against every strategies of the devil to get me or any member of my family down in the time of calibration. Command a recovery from every unacceptable/unsatisfactory condition of life. Confront and conquer the enemy at my door seeking for the open door to bring me and my family down in Jesus name. Amen

FAMILY MIDNIGHT PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS:
N/B: Beloved be on your knees, lay your right hand on your head and by faith prophetically claim all the midnight declarations. See yourself as someone kneeling before a great messenger of God and after claiming all declarations, go back and sleep.

1. The host of heaven will certainly give you grace to conceive and give birth to all godly purposes in your life; the plagues of the Egyptians shall never in your lifetime locate you and your family, you/your family members shall not die at the edge of your breakthrough in Jesus name. Amen
2. The heavenly image God has formed in you shall never be erased in Jesus name; as Paul the Apostle in 2 Timothy 4:1-8 finished well, testified and had the crown of glory kept for him, God Almighty shall cause you ....................... to finish every project you have started well and you shall not miss the crown of eternal life in Jesus name.
3. You shall not end up as an echo, but a voice unto your family and generation, whatever height your parents achieved; your success in life shall triple theirs with long life and good health in Jesus name.
4. According to the Word of God in Haggai 2:22 which says “I will overthrow the throne of kingdoms; I will destroy the strength of the Gentile kingdoms. I will overthrow the chariots And those who ride in them; The horses and their riders shall come down, Every one by the sword of his brother.” From this midnight adventure kingdoms, princes and rulers shall be overthrown for your enthronement in the name of Jesus.
5. As you wake up, may what you have treasured but lost several years begin to trace and locate you and your family may your axe head of advancement with joy be restored to you and your household in Jesus name.
6. As you attend the anointing, impartation and release programme of this year's family midnight prayer, heaven has declared you a record breaker in all your endeavours, a candidate for fruitfulness in every area of your life, a victor in every battle and you shall be rapturable in Jesus matchless name.
