Scriptural Reading: 

1 Peter 5:1-10

Text: 

“And the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will Himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.” (vs. 10).

Commentary:

Faithful is He who calls us, and faithful is he who will do it. Grace in this context means God’s riches at Christ’s expense. The grace of God is the indispensable thing we need in this life.  If not for the grace of God, life would have been excruciatingly difficult.

Our reading today is a call to perseverance. The call to perseverance is matched by the doctrine of preservation. Since God has called us to share His eternal glory in Christ, we can ultimately rely on Him to bring us safely through to it. The grace of God is always sufficient to those who put their trust in Him.

Maybe you are undergoing suffering, know that the grace of God is available to see you through in life. Don’t give up for your miracle is within reach. You need to persevere in prayer, for all things are possible to him who believes.  The experience you are having today is but for a short while; cleaving to Christ means that you are asking Him to be the Master over your life.  May God’s grace be made sufficient for you, Amen.

1.      Thank you Father for leading me this season.
2.      Grant me the grace to start up another season well.
3.      Heavenly Father, prosper my work in the precious name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ

Sleeping Capsule:

Grace works where thought cannot reach. Grace is stronger than circumstances.

Bible Reading: Zechariah 4:1–10; Psalm 11:1-3 Bible Text: "If the foundations are destroyed, What can the righteous do?" (Psalm 11:3) MIDNIGHT MEDITATION: According to Merriam Webster Dictionary , the word 'foundation' means something (such as an idea, a principle, or facts) that provides support for something. It is a basis (as a tenet, principle or axiom) upon which something stands or is supported. i.e. an underlying base or support. Holman Christian Standard Bible dictionary defines foundation as the sturdy first layer on which a structure is built. Figuratively, the principles or initial work upon which what follows is based. Putting all these into constructive consideration; without any iota of doubt, foundations are very important in the spiritual realm; it has generational consequences.
